One Man Band

Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 July 2026

These Terms govern your use of One Man Band(“we”, “us”, “our”), a workspace and AI assistant for small service businesses in South Africa. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. The service

One Man Bandgives your business a workspace (dashboard) and an AI assistant reachable on Telegram for managing quotes, invoices, leads, customers, documents and basic books. The assistant can read your workspace freely to answer questions and can prepare drafts — quotes, invoices, messages, and similar customer-facing documents — but it never sends anything to a customer, and never takes an action with external effect, without you first reviewing and approving it. You are always the one who taps “send”.

You are responsible for reviewing anything before you approve it, for the accuracy of the business and customer information you enter or upload, and for how you use the service in your dealings with your own customers.

2. Accounts, trials and billing

New workspaces start with a 14-day free trial. After the trial, a paid subscription is required to keep sending quotes, invoices and other documents to customers; your data remains visible and exportable even if you don't subscribe. Subscriptions are billed in advance via Paystack. If a payment fails, we'll retry it and may place your workspace into a read-only grace period before restricting further sending — we will never hold your data hostage, and you can export everything at any time from Settings, in any plan state.

You can cancel at any time. Until self-serve cancellation is available in the dashboard, email piet@aitsa.tech and we'll close your account and provide your export. Cancelling stops future billing but doesn't retroactively refund the current billing period unless required by law.

3. Acceptable use

Use One Man Bandfor legitimate business purposes only. Don't: use it to send unlawful, deceptive, or harassing communications; try to break, reverse-engineer, or overload the service; attempt to access another tenant's workspace or data; or use the assistant to generate content that infringes someone else's rights or breaks South African law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service or put other tenants' data at risk.

4. Books & financial figures

The books feature turns uploaded bank statements into categorised transactions and simple management reports (profit & loss, cashflow, VAT summaries) to help you understand your business. These are management accounts, not audited financial statements. They are not a substitute for a qualified accountant or tax practitioner, and you must verify them independently before relying on them for SARS filings, loan applications, or any other formal purpose. We are not responsible for decisions made on the basis of these figures without that verification.

5. Quotes, invoices & tax documents

Quotes and invoices you send through the service are hosted at a unique link and, once sent, are treated as immutable records — corrections are made via a new version or a credit note, never by silently editing a document a customer has already seen. Invoices carry your banking details for EFT payment; we do not process payments on your customers' behalf. You are responsible for the accuracy of tax fields (VAT number, sequential numbering, and similar) that you configure in Settings.

6. Third-party services

The service relies on infrastructure and processors including Supabase, OpenAI and Google (for AI processing), Telegram, Resend (email), Vercel (hosting) and Paystack (billing). Their availability and performance can affect ours; see our Privacy Policy for how they handle your data.

7. Liability & disclaimers

The service is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we don't guarantee the AI assistant's output is error-free — always review drafts before approving them. To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

8. Changes & termination

We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be notified via the dashboard or email. You may close your account at any time — email piet@aitsa.tech and we'll close your account and provide your export. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
